Choose the right color
You want to own at least a few of the basic colors of t-shirts which are white, black, gray, or navy.
White: It complements all skin tones. A classic white t-shirt must be part of every man's wardrobe. Remember to wash your white clothes together.
Gray: It is a mixture of different shades. The color gray virtually boosts your body shape. Look out for sweat marks that are easily visible in dark colors.

Select the right fabric
The quality of the fabric is not associated with the weight of your upper body. In fact, with tees, the lighter fabrics are costlier.
A hundred percent cotton is always preferable, especially Pima or Egyptian cotton. They are made out of long-staple fiber, which lasts longer, looks slicker, and feels lighter.
Cotton blends are also perfect choices. A slight amount of elastane (stretch fibers) helps to maintain the shape of your upper body, while cotton-polyester blends come at a lower price tag, offering easy maintenance as they crease very little.
